George F. Roy, Founder and President of The Rawlings Group, was born and raised in Salem, Massachusetts. He is a graduate of St. John’s Prep in Danvers, MA and was graduated from Merrimack College in North Andover, MA with a BA in Marketing.
Mr. Roy’s corporate career began with Olivetti Corporation of America as a Field Representative and culminated in his being appointed Special Assistant to the President of Olivetti and named Corporate Personnel Manager.
During his career at Olivetti, George was responsible for directing all field manpower development functions including Sales Training at the Hartford Training Center. He was also responsible for implementing the field marketing and sales program offshore to the subsidiaries and distributors of the parent copmant, Olivetti Corporation.
Recognizing the need of corporations to recruit and hire qualified executives for the emerging Office Product/Office Automation field, George founded his organization in 1968, opening offices in New York City. Through his efforts and leadership, The Rawlings Group has emerged as a leading firm of its kind and presently maintains a dedicated staff in its offices in Montvale, New Jersey and Brandon, Mississippi.
